SOPHIE- ELLIS BEXTOR

Sophie’s album, Songs From The Kitchen Disco, collects the songs that soundtracked her lockdown kitchen disco. It features all of Sophie’s biggest and best-known disco hits in one place for the first time ever! Available on various colourful and collectable formats (CD, Double Vinyl LP and Tape) the album includes six Top 10 hits, including Murder On The Dancefloor and Take Me Home.

In 2020, Sophie’s launched a podcast called Spinning Plates, with each one hour episode featuring an interview with another working mother about the difficulties and joys of a work/life balance. With episodes so far featuring Fearne Cotton and Caitlin Moran, the podcast has already become Apple’s number one Parenting podcast everywhere from the UK to Greece to Ecuador.

In June 2023, Sophie released her seventh studio album ‘HANA’, which was made with long-time collaborator and friend Ed Harcourt. ‘HANA’, which Harcourt describes as “kaleidoscopic joy”, is inspired by East Asia and began with the album track ‘Tokyo’ and Sophie’s first trip to Japan pre-pandemic in 2020. The title references the Japanese word for ‘blossom’, giving an early introduction to the glorious alternative pop record.
