Already established as a selector playing rare groove, hip-hop, ragga, and the nascent sounds of hardcore by the late eighties, Brockie is one of the founding fathers of jungle music. Even though, in those early days, he had no thought of producing or running a label, his show on Kool FM made him one of the main influencers of the scene, even featuring on a 1996 BBC documentary

Brockie has been a known name and a DJ in the scene since 1988, representing in the jungle since day one. In 1991 he teamed up with friends to establish the infamous Kool FM 94.5 – the best and longest standing drum & bass radio station in the world to date!

Having spent almost a decade as one of the scene’s top deejays, it was inevitable that Brockie would take a step into making his own tunes. Teaming up with Ed Solo, a trained studio engineer, he created the anthem “Represent”. Turning down offers from other labels, he set up Undiluted Recordings to put out his music. The stage was set for Brockie to define a dark-tinged, rolling, bass-heavy sound that has smashed up raves ever since, culminating in the 2017’s monumental “The Story So Far” album.

Brockie’s style is very diverse. He very much works with the crowd and plays different sets to different crowds all round the world. When playing at a big rave you’ve got to have a balance of everything across the board, because everyone likes something different.

Brockie has played all over the world and because of this, coupled with his long running relationship with Kool, Det and Undiluted, he has become one of the biggest names in the scene

In recent times, as owner of Undiluted and co-owner of Octave Recordings with Profile, Brockie has been instrumental in bringing through new talent. Crowd favourite artists like Turno, Nu Elementz, Sub Killaz, and K Motionz have all released on one of his imprints over the years.

Although he’s added label A&R and production to his armoury of talents, Brockie is still, first and foremost, a deejay. His long-standing alliance with Det has gone from strength to strength, and their shows as the Brockie & Det Experience are bringing those OJ vibes to a brand new generation.

Brockie and Mc Det have won many awards over the years, recently won Best Jungle Show at The Jungle Awards.

Still smashing it as a deejay, producer, radio host, and label owner,  Brockie is a true drum ‘n’ bass pioneer.
